A few habits, and who to call if you are worried about a child.
A few habits keep everyone safe.
- Meet the instructor and see the venue before you pay anything large.
- Be careful of anyone who asks you to pay somewhere unusual, or in a hurry.
- Keep receipts and messages about payments.
- For children, stay for the first lessons if the club allows it, and ask who else will be in the room.
- Tell us if something does not feel right. Email hello@everydojo.com.
If you are worried about a child, call the NSPCC helpline on 0808 800 5000 (10am to 4pm, Monday to Friday), or email help@nspcc.org.uk. If a child is in danger now, call 999.
